Admissions policy 2010/2011

Queen Eleanor School is a Community Primary School with an LEA Signing Resourced Provision for the Deaf (SRPD) - a unit of signing deaf children integrated into mainstream classes, supported by staff with British Sign Language (BSL) expertise.

Children are normally admitted at the beginning of the academic year in which they will be 5, initially on a part time basis. The planned admission limit for this year is 30. In normal circumstances any child in this age group may be admitted. However, should demand exceed availability then account will be taken of the LEA's current admission criteria and appeal procedures.

Details about all admission issues can be found in the free booklet "Northamptonshire Schools - Information for Parents" which is updated annually and is available from the school. You can also obtain information from the NCC website.

Parents considering this school for their child are welcome to make an appointment with the Headteacher who will be pleased to discuss needs and arrange for a tour of the school.
